Why is my campaign not sending?

Updated Nov 2, 2026

Look first at the status badge under the campaign name in Campaigns; hover over it for details.

The campaign did not start

  • "Campaign not ready: no tags assigned." Add tags with the person icon (Manage campaign tags and contacts).
  • "Campaign not ready: no contacts in assigned tags." Add contacts to those tags.
  • "Campaign not ready: no sequences assigned." Write and save the sequence.
  • "Campaign not ready: no SMTP account assigned." Choose the Email Sender and save the sequence.
  • "SMTP validation failed…" or "IMAP validation failed…" The sender's login failed; run Test authentication in Email Accounts.
  • "Campaign sequence configuration requires review" Open a support ticket.

Running, but waiting

  • Starts in … or Waiting for schedule: outside the sending days and hours.
  • Sender hourly limit or Sender daily limit: the sender used its allowance on other email; sending resumes automatically. "Sending" with "Account limit · 100/hour" is normal pacing.
  • Next follow-up in …: first emails are done and follow-ups are waiting for their wait time.
  • All emails sent: every recipient received the whole sequence or stopped early under the Stop Strategy.
  • The campaign reached its Daily Sending Limit for today (25 on new campaigns), or your plan's daily total is used up.

Some contacts are never emailed

  • "… not emailed" under Recipients means those contacts are unsubscribed or marked invalid.
  • Sending to a recipient provider can pause after spam, blocklist or high-bounce reports. Check Sending restrictions on the Feedback Loop page.
