Why are my automated follow-ups not sending?

Updated Nov 2, 2026

A follow-up goes out only when it is due, the contact is still eligible and the campaign may send.

It is not due yet

  • The wait counts from when the previous email was actually sent to that contact. The campaign shows Next follow-up in ….
  • It becomes due outside the sending days and hours and waits for the next window.

The contact stopped

  • The Stop Strategy condition was met (reply, click or open).
  • The contact unsubscribed, bounced or was suppressed.

The campaign is held

  • The campaign is paused.
  • Its Daily Sending Limit counts first emails and follow-ups together.
  • The sender reached its hourly or daily limit, or a provider pause is active.
