How do I configure delays between follow-ups?

Updated Nov 2, 2026

Each step ends with Wait for [n] days, then: the number of days after that step before the next step becomes due.

Steps

  1. In the sequence editor, enter the number of days in Wait for … days, then at the bottom of a step.
  2. Click Save Sequence.

How the wait is counted

  • In calendar days (24-hour periods) after the previous email was actually sent to that contact. Weekends and holidays count.
  • A follow-up that becomes due outside the campaign's sending days and hours goes out in the next allowed window. Daily limits and the delay between emails can push it later.
  • Example with a Monday to Friday schedule and a 2-day wait: an email sent on Thursday becomes due on Saturday and goes out on Monday.
  • A business-day wait is not available.
