How do I verify my domain's DNS configuration?

Updated Nov 2, 2026

Check DNS compares the records published in public DNS with the records your MailRush email account needs.

Steps

  1. Go to Email Accounts, open the account's menu (⋮) and choose View DNS.
  2. Click Check DNS. The summary shows Required records ready or Needs attention, with how many records are ready and how many need updates.
  3. Fix each record that is not ready, then check again. Last checked shows when the last check ran.

Record statuses

  • Ready: the published value matches.
  • Not found: the record is not in public DNS yet.
  • Needs update or Review: a record exists but differs; compare Currently published with Value to publish.
  • Add MailRush IP: add MailRush to your existing SPF record using the combined value.
  • Keep existing: nothing to change, for example your current MX records with Outgoing campaigns only.
  • Check failed: the DNS lookup failed; check again in a moment.

Your own email accounts

  • MailRush does not check the DNS of accounts connected with Use My Own Email. Use your provider's setup guide, or the Gmail Show original check.
