How do I personalize follow-up emails?

Steps

1. In the step's editor, place the cursor where the value should go.
2. Open Personalization and choose a field, for example First Name, which inserts {{first_name}}.
3. Click Preview to check the result with a real contact.

Good to know

• Follow-ups sent in the same thread quote the original email exactly as it was sent to that contact.
• Follow-ups use the step's currently saved content, even for contacts already in the sequence.
